Abstract
The purpose of the study: to assess the gynecological health of women living in social service institutions in Ekaterinburg. Materials and Methods. The study involved 48 women. All participants in the study underwent a survey to obtain information about the presence of complaints, somatic and obstetric history data. 45 women underwent a gynecological examination per speculum and a bimanual vaginal examination, 3 women underwent a rectal examination. 36 women underwent a cytological examination of the cervix. Results. The mean age of the patients was (65.5±13.3) years. It was revealed that 10 patients (20.8 %) had a history of ovarian cysts, 11 had cervical dysplasia (22.9 %), 3 (6.2 %) had uterine myoma, and 1 (2 %) had adenomyosis. 17 women (35.4 %) had various gynecological surgeries. 4 women (8.3 %) underwent surgical sterilization for the purpose of contraception. 40 women (83.3 %) had a history of at least 1 pregnancy, 8 women (16.7 %) never had a pregnancy. 3 women (6.2 %) had a history of perinatal losses. During a gynecological examination, 3 women (6.2 %) had a urethral polyp, 7 (14.5 %) had uterine prolapse of the 1st degree, 1 (2.1 %) woman had a lipoma (2 %) on the inner surface of the thigh, in 2 (4.1 %) — cervical ectopia. According to the results of a cytological examination of the cervix, no intraepithelial malignant changes were detected in 35 (97.2 %) women, and atypical squamous epithelial cells of uncertain significance were found in 1 woman. In 6 women (16.7 %), vaginal dysbiosis was detected, in 1 (2.7 %) — leukoplakia of the cervix. 5 women (13.8 %) had atrophic cervicitis with moderate activity of the process. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that some women from social service institutions in Ekaterinburg receive gynecological medical care, but 58 % of patients receive it out of time for a number of reasons beyond their control. At the same time, a significant proportion of these women have gynecological diseases (currently or in history) that require dynamic monitoring.
