RENOWNED BIOLOGIST L. F. MAVRINSKAYA WHO WAS AT THE HEAD OF THE CHAIR OF HISTOLOGY OF URAL STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The article is devoted to a remarkable woman scientist, who proved to be talented in different spheres of biology. For 5 years she was the head of the department of histology of our university. She introduced a new scientific direction to the life of the department, significantly increased scientific work of her staff and teaching and research work of students, leaving a bright trace in the history of SSMI — UHMA — UHMU. The article shows main stages of life and activity of L. F. Mavrinskaya, reflects her scientific achievements, professional and personal qualities. Special attention is paid to the contribution of L. F. Mavrinskaya to the development of histology chair of our university.
