Abstract

The frequency of neoplasm of mediastinum in the structure of oncological diseases is about 1%. Objective: to present the clinical case of a rare form of mediastinal tumor. Patient S. boy, 5 years old. enrolled in for emergency indications. In the evening, the mother drew attention to the appearance of education in soft tissues over the jugular breaststroke, dyspnoea and periodic coughing. It is known that within a year he received unsuccessful treatment of dermatitis and conjunctivitis in a polyclinic at the place of residence. A surgical tumor biopsy was performed. The histological picture corresponds to the Langerhanscular histiocytosis. Conclusion: In the diagnosis of Langergan cell histiocytosis, there should be a “team” approach involving modern diagnostic techniques. Despite the variety of forms of histiocytosis, there are various atypical manifestations that can not always be diagnosed on time.
